Gastroutes is an independent, pan-India brand of Tornos, highly focused on serving special-interest travellers who wish to discover India through its rich culinary heritage.
Any gastronome familiar with Indian cuisine knows that the term ‘Indian Cuisine’ is a generalisation. India offers a diverse range of regional cuisines, with multiple variations even within those regions. Given this incredible diversity, it’s impossible to specialise in all of it across India. At Gastroutes, we collaborate with specialists from various regions of India to navigate this complex subject. (short name: Tornos), which has been offering immersive tours for 32 years, Gastroutes maintains its own distinct and independent identity. It functions with a dedicated team of specialists who curate and operate tours specifically focused on the subject of ‘gastronomy in India’. Although it’s legally a part of Tornos, Gastroutes functions with its own unique identity and a separate team, other than Tornos’.
*The brand name GASTROUTES is a portmanteau that combines "Gastronomy" and "Routes." The "RO" is shared between gastROnomy and ROutes, and "NOMY" from gastroNOMY has been replaced by "UTES" from roUTES.
